What a wonderful Saturday!

Some of our good friends from church, the Tao's, are going to be having a baby very soon. Today was Cristen and Baby Tao's shower and I was recruited to bring the cupcakes. I decided to make sure the cupcakes matched the color scheme of the party and I hired (or just asked nicely) Christopher to color the frosting. Chris is very artistic and has past experience making pictures out of frosting. See the picture below.

Okay so it was only once at my parents house, but still he showed great talent. Anyway, He did a great job matching the frosting to the invitations and I sat back amazed that purple, yellow and green could make such a pretty olive green.

The cupcakes didn't actually have blackberries on the top, but for pictures sake I decided to add it. Maybe next time, for a summer gathering.

After Chris picked me up from the shower we headed down to Hermosa beach for an afternoon in the sun. We rented a Tandem bike and rode it up the beach and back down. It was so nice to be outside enjoying the weather and to have Chris all to myself. School has been consuming most of his weekends and we both needed this break.


We decided to not to stop for a photo op, so instead I just stood up on the back of the bike while Chris snapped the photo. I'd say it turned out rather well, and only one dog was injured in the process. Just kidding! Although an older Asian lady who wasn't paying attention did almost get run over.

At times Chris would get so excited he'd pedal faster than my little legs could handle. Here is proof I slacked off from time to time and let him do all the work.



At the end of the ride Chris forgot his pant legs where rolled up and I couldn't resist the opportunity to snap a photo of him. Isn't he just so cute!!

I love Saturdays that I get to spend with Chris! Now I'm off to cuddle up on the couch with him and watch Marley and Me. I LOVE MY LIFE!!!
