It's a Beautiful Day!

I woke up this morning refreshed and fulfilled after a wonderful Saturday with Christopher. I have been slacking lately on my cooking and blogging and today I decided to change that. Before Chris was even out of bed, I was in the kitchen preparing food for the week ahead.

We started the morning with Monkey Bread baked in tin cans.

While the monkey bread was baking I was busy working on LOTS of other stuff. I cut up pita bread to make pita chips and pita cinnamon chips, I cooked macaroni for macaroni salad and chopped up strawberries for strawberry bread. I thawed lunch meat for sandwiches and steak for dinner tomorrow and started chicken in the crock pot for Chicken soft tacos.

The recipe I have for Chicken soft tacos makes way more than Chris and I can eat in one meal, so dinner for Wednesday is already done. I made a meal plan for the rest of the week and I'll go to Ralphs tomorrow after dinner to stock up for the next few weeks. I love being prepared and it feels good to be able to go to bed tonight knowing tomorrow is already taken care of.

In the middle of all this Chris and I found time to go to Sears in Santa Monica and buy a NEW VACUUM!!!!! I hated our old Vacuum and after getting our State tax refund Chris said it was time to get MY vacuum of choice. The best part is Sears had it on sale $50 off. I'm glad we didn't have time to go get it last weekend!!!

Here is Chris mocking my enthusiasm for the new vacuum.

In order to make room for Big Blue we needed to get ride of the old vacuum. Chris decided to put it out next to the dumpster with a little sign to help encourage someone to adopt it.

It was an interesting 3 years Bissal, I hope you enjoy your new home. Wherever that may be.

Off to bed I go. We have another early morning tomorrow and a long week ahead!
Good Night.

Wow....you did have a busy day. It feels great to feel like you have control over your days ahead. Good Job! I need to get my meal plan going for this week and need to get groceries. Yikes!!!!! Too much to do and no time. Tacos look yummy :)
Have a good week!
