I hadn't made cupcakes for my coworkers in awhile, so for St. Patty's day I decided to make them some.
I have to give Christopher the credit for the Lucky Charms on the top. When we were at Ralph's getting eggs and milk, he saw the Lucky Charms on sale and just had to have them. While I was eating a bowl for dessert I thought, "what a great cupcake topper" (especially since I didn't have anything else!)
Next, Socorro, one of my coworkers/friend's, daughter (that's a mouthful) was having her 10th birthday. Socorro is always sharing her delicious homemade Mexican food me, so I figured I owed her. I volunteered to make the cupcakes. I decided purple cupcakes with flowers, would be just the right style for a 10 year old. Nothing to childish, but still supper cute.
Happy Birthday Mia!!!
I couldn't forget about Chris!
Since I was making the cupcakes for Mia, Chris asked if I could make some for him to take to the clinic with him. (On Fridays he works downtown volunteering at a clinic doing dental work with other students and few USC faculty.) I figured why not. The only stipulation was he had to settle with purple frosting as I wasn't making another batch. He gladly accepted!
I also made some snickerdoodle cupcakes that tasted good at first, but by the second day they were so dry, they would have made a great "Got Milk?" commercial. I'll work on that recipe another day. Needless to say, no pictures were needed of them!!
