After making a Winco trip this morning, I have spend the past few hours alone in the kitchen. Chris is at school finishing up some lab work, and I have been arranging the cupboards and getting food ready for the week. Although I'm still not 100% (I have been sick with a cold) I'm feeling better and at least kind of have my voice back.
I'm glad to have our kitchen full, but it does brings lots of work for me :) While working in the kitchen I had a lot of time to think and analyze life. Here is my list of things that struck me as interesting (not all of them are new thoughts, but just thoughts I had today.)
*A full kitchen makes me happy! (Not full of people, full of food.)
* Music can make time go by faster.
*Carrots can go in just about everything.
*If you taste test a radish in kindergarten and then don't eat one again for 20 years it was probably because you don't like them.
*Being frugal is different than being cheap. It's spending within your means!
*Homemade croutons are good, but make me burp.
*Meatloaf made by my Mom is still my favorite meal in the whole world. (Mine isn't as good either.)
*Fresh bagels make me flash back to my college days.
*God must have been eating zucchini when he created me. I LOVE IT!
*I really enjoy Starbucks coffee and wonder why so many people that don't enjoy it seem to work there?????
*I wonder when I'll feel all grown up?
*Pressure cookers are pretty cool.
*Being the wife of a Dental student isn't as difficult as people make it out to be.
*Working at the Dental school is another story.
*My husband loves me so much and works REALLY hard now, so that he can provide for our family later.
*Watching someones dreams come true is pretty exciting.
*Meringue powder has to be one of the greatest creations ever.
*Frank Sinatra will always remind me of my Grandpa and at the same time make me feel 21 again falling in love with Christopher.
*My sister is pretty awesome and I hate living so far from her.
*Home is where my Mom is, but I'll follow Christopher anywhere.
*Forgiveness isn't a feeling, it's an action.
*God answers prayers in unique ways.
*Chris and I are so blessed and thankful for everything God has given us.
Okay, so these aren't even the half of what I thought about, but things that stuck in my brain! I'm exhausted now and need a nap!!! (from working not all the thinking!)
