We made plans to meet up with some good friends of ours Paul and Lauren (and their daughter Sosi) at The Grove for the tree lighting ceremony. I really like the holiday season and wanted to be apart of the festivities. Chris and I decided to get there early and window shop until the events began. When we arrived we were sadly mistaken. The place was PACKED and it was only 5:30, we still had 2 hours until the ceremony began. As I looked around at all the people I knew there was no way Paul and Lauren would ever find us, or want to be that packed in with there precious little Sosi. After listening to Natalie Cole sing "Merry Christmas" I called Lauren and cancelled our plans. Instead, Lauren came up with the idea to head to Rodeo Drive and at least walk around and see all the Christmas decorations there. It was absolutely beautiful (see Chris' blog in a few days for pictures!!)
After taking in all the lights and snaping a few pictures we headed over to a new frozen yogurt shop called Toppings. It has only been open three weeks, but it was amazing! It is a new shop where you get to serve yourself and pay per ounce. I was surprised with the variety of flavors and how delicous the yogurt was. All four of us were very happy with our choices and would strongly recommend the shop. The owner was even there working and was a very nice lady who explained the process and chatted with us as we tried to decided what to pick. Paul looked like a kid in a candy shop and Chris had quite the science behind his choice. I however, kept it simple and normal. Peanut butter with Reeses Pieces and Strawberry with Cheesecake. I LOVED IT.
Needless to say, even though the Grove was a bust our plan B ended up being so much fun! Thanks Paul and Lauren for a great night and Sosi for being so gosh darn cute!!

We had lots of fun too. Can't wait to get the pics from your camera!
Sounds like fun!! Sometimes the best plans are the ones you don't plan. Sorry that your Grove plans had to be altered but look....it was a blessing in disguise. Have a good week :)
If you keep going to the yogurt shop you'll need to learn the fine art of light (not heavy) topping selection. When we go to Lori's shop in RB I load up on Marshmallows and coconut. Just Kidding. I actually favor Snickers and Twix which are probably the heaviest toppings around. :]
